My son’s team won their game Friday, woo hoo. Now this Saturday, they will be playing another tuff team and I am sure it is going to be FREEZING… I love the cold, just not when I am trying to watch a game with baby girl!
I went to several appointments yesterday. First was the physical I told you about, still have to get a blood test to see how my Cholesterol is doing. But I have been incorporating a lot of ground Flax in my diet… It’s funny I don’t walk around eating tons of Cholesterol items, must be another thing like my Big Butt I have to thank hereditary for… He was pleased with the eating plan I would be doing. And he also gave me the goods!!!
The second appointment was a free consultation regarding Lasik surgery with the folks at the Lasik Vision Institute. It is probably the best price out there, but they failed to mention I would have to drive out of town to get my surgery. I would already have to keep my eyes closed for most of the day, I thought I could just go home and go to bed. Hmm I’ll have to think on it.
Lastly went to get my eyes checked. And he was able to prescribe a less expensive lenses, thank goodness cause I will wear these bad boys tell they scream to come out! Meaning I will wear them way past the 2 weeks or month they are meant for. Dr. Conkey you Rock!
My Ballerina has been jumping in bed with me every night. I take her to bed and she will be back in an hour. I am sure she is adjusting to Kindergarten, and I just have to be patient, but I am tired.
Oh here is a pic of the costume my snl and I worked on, whatcha think?

Pretty cool huh?!

AWESOME! on winning the game. Good Luck on the upcoming ones as well.
My husband is wanting to have the Lasik surgery. We haven’t checked into it yet but it kind of scares me to think about it.
I don’t have high cholesterol but what is Flax? I might have to check into that since it seems like a good thing. I too am trying to get my health under some sort of control. Good Luck with that.
I will be coming back to read your blog.
I would LOVE to get Lasik surgery, just can’t afford it right now. I have worn glasses since I was 10 years old. Crap!!! That is over a quarter of a century ago!! Yikes! Got tired of the whole cleaning the lens thing at about 28 then have just stuck to glasses.
The whole stying in bed for the day sounds awesome though, I can’t believe as mothers we have to get surgery to have a day off!!
Good Luck in whatever you choose!!

LOL, that is so funny, I am the ginnie pig to see how it works, than he might consider it. That is if it was something we could afford of course.
I have heard so many good things about flax and my Dr recommended it cause I don’t like taking meds. Its used for its seed and the fibers the flax plant produces. But the flax seed we have been hearing about and what I use (ground flax seed) is an excellent source of omega 3 & fiber. I sprinkle it in my foods, up to 3 tablespoons a day (or at least I try and remember to.) Some studies are starting to show it can reduce cancer, stroke, heart disease and diabetes. LOL, sorry for the commercial, darn I didn’t get paid… heheh Anyway my doctor said it will help to reduce my cholesterol.
Good luck to you too. I look forward to reading your blog as well

The costume looks so funny:) Oh and i totally get you with having surgeries out of town… i always have my teeth pulled out in another county just because is cheaper there.. the down part is that my husband always needs to take a day off work to come with me.. but now it’s ok .. sadly i got used to it:)
Anyway.. Happy Random Thoughts!
