Crazy Weekend

Hi Bloggy Family,

Sorry I have been absent all weekend.  Well I haven’t been absent I have been working feverishly behind the scenes, because while my blog was working for every one else, it wasn’t working for me on this end.

It is still giving me fits, it is only partial fits.  I can access some of my dashboard now and post.  So I will try and get caught up and announce the Giveaway winner soon.

Its been really cold here.  We have been hunkered down and I have been trying to keep it fun and festive at least for my little girl.  We were happily wrapping presents Saturday I  mommy was in coffee bliss,  until I ran out and needed another cup.  “Be right back baby, Mommy needs a new cup of coffee”  Crack! Boom!  Bam! and I see stars… and tweety birds and OMGosh here comes the pain.  Pooo, I broke my pinky toe again.  I have broken it so many times, I should be used to the amount of pain generate from this itty bitty toe… NOT…  It is healing, I can walk almost upright and it is a new pretty shade of purple, Fun!

Sunday afternoon I ran to get some supplies from the store while baby girl was asleep, hubby was home.  When I came out, “WHAasssaaaaa” I was karate chopped by a blast of cold air.  Holy Cow, I couldn’t load the food in the truck fast enough.  I get home and nothing!  I tried to tell my hubby it was freezing over there, but birds are singing happily and chirping away here, and with a sweet smile he says “oh, u huh” pacifying me  and he continues to help me with the groceries.

An hour later, here comes the wind and piddly snow, I thought oh typical Nevada weather, it’s gonna snow a smidgen and melt an hour later.  NOT, it kept coming and coming till late yesterday afternoon.  The kids had a Snow Day except for my daughter who is home schooled.  She was like oh man!  The first half of the day all I heard: “Can we go outside and build a snowman, please momma, please!”  Oh how I would have been so happy to get them outside right then, but it was freezing.  I waited till it was at least 19 degrees outside.

As of THIS morning it is -1 degrees outside.  For Nevada that is beyond cold.  We aren’t use to it and all the wet snow we got yesterday, it is gonna be a slipper one.  Thank goodness for the 2 hour delay, maybe it will be in the 10’s by then.
