It is so easy to get lost in the shuffle during the holidays. I myself get lost in the typical “how are we going to do Christmas this year?” or “What are going to get them for Christmas?” Sometimes I forget that no matter how hard I think it is there are others that are suffering more than I want to imagine.
The little town I grew up in has a non-profit organization called CASHNV, they help families in need. Throughout the year they help with rent, utilities, food, and much more. During the Holidays they distribute food baskets and have an Angel Tree. The Angel tree has children in need listed on little Angels. CAHSNV does everything they can to get that child at least one present for Christmas.
These past couple years the economy has made the list of needs increase 10 fold and they can really use our help.
Now I know money is hard to come by right now, but every $1, $5, $10, $20 can go a long way. If you would like to help in another way, spread the word! Maybe a sponsor could send food that way.
